He had a stroke during surgery, but his tumor was very large and
it was not a normal M. When they went in it was wraped aorund a blood
vessel. It was in an area that is not typical for M.
So the MRi from Dec. and the one we had 2 weks showed nothing had
changed. We where going to have reg. radiation and that hospital
decide to send us to a hospital that had Sterotactic and other
methods, but they are the ones that told us that eveything looked
really, really good. They took out 70%+, Joe was not a candidate for
Gamma Knife either. We where told that the size of the M it probley
had been there for 10 years because of the size. So after they decide
not to do radiation I wasn't sure what to do, but we all said that
Joe is doing so good, why argue, wait the 6 months for the MRI.
they waited to long to do the surgery, the nerolist kept saying that
his systems were not from the M. so it has been a long haul for us.
But things are going well..
Please take care and best of luck to all of you...
Gail
