Essential Oils ... has anyone tried this to shrink tumor?   Message List

Hello Everyone,
I went to a meeting tonight for a product line of which I have been
using a couple of items, one being shampoo. Some of their products are food
grade essential oils, meaning they can be ingested. I was amazed to hear some
of
the stories and so when it was over I asked a few questions of the
presenters. So, I am going on record here to say I am going to try what they
would try,
if it was them in my shoes (or head!).
I have a left frontal 3.5cm meningioma that has been on w&w for just
over 5 years. It has grown slightly every MRI and this time is showing signs
of irregular growth. The NS I'm seeing now replaced my original one who moved
away. He said that he would have recommended removal 2 1/2 yrs ago if he'd
seen me then. I am seeing him to go over my MRV and schedule surgery on the
13th. Because of some other personal things I have to deal with, I had already
decided to wait until February to have surgery. I don't even want to think
about him saying I need surgery right away. I'm not sure until February is long
enough to try this for, but I don't want to push my luck to far. I have dizzy
spells with turns, getting up or down, or any fast movement. The old NS said
"then don't do it if it makes you dizzy". I also have a well documented 20+
yr history of left side headaches. Of course, none of it has anything to do
with the tumor according to the N or NS. I also have severe sleep apnea,
whole body jerks as I sleep, Fibromyalgia and a Lupus diagnosis for the last 5
yrs
that has just been "rescinded" by my Rheumatologist because my blood work is
now good. Never mind that it was skyrocketed for 4 1/2 yrs, since they 1st
checked it, and only changed after me being on an additive and preservative free
whole foods diet for the months of Dec '03 thru July '04, with a very little
amount of cheating since then. The diet isn't exactly fun but my headaches
are far more bearable. The M was found when they were looking for MS again. In
1984 I was told I had it (MS) & 3 months later was told no, I don't. I had
to wait for an MRI, back then there wasn't any around here, and when I did have
it I was the first person to have one in Syracuse, NY which was about 75
miles from my home. I now sleep with a CPAP machine which has helped, but I
still
have chronic fatigue, sleeping 10 to 10 1/2 hrs a day now instead of 13-15
hrs a day before. I slept in the parking lot on lunch break, before going home
from work and was so ashamed of how much I slept and how tired I was! Drs.
tried to say it was depression ... antidepressants didn't help and actually made
me sleep more. My Primary Care Doctor was astonished and a bit embarrassed
to find out my sleep was being interrupted 137 times an HOUR! It was like
pulling teeth to get sent to the clinic cause I don't fit the criteria. Not
overweight and not a snorer. That's not the end of my list of problems, but ...
who needs to hear more?! AND I'm 55 and look much younger (they say!), I was a
Tomboy who had sons and caffeine helped keep me active skating, skiing and
even climbing trees with them and my grandkids. I know this is to long. But,
I
would really like for my story to be known in case this trial I'm going to do
works. (I haven't got the oils yet, just ordered them at 9:15pm 12-01-04.)
I promise I'll listen to any comments, so please let me know if anyone's tried
it. And you can also let me know if you think I'm nutso! I will continue to
pray for all of us! Kathy, Upstate NY : )
