Hi. my name is Margret. I have not posted here but I have been reading
posts for quite a while. I have kidney failure,addisons disease(adrenal
gland failure),had bilateral breast cancer 5 1/2 years ago. I have partial
failure of thyroid gland. And last but not least, I have a small right
frontal memengioma.

I was diagnosed with addisons in
December. We were trying to do various tests to see why I had Addisons.
Had a head scan of center of brain, can't think of the gland right now. Any
way when they told me the result it was a surprise, for sure, Dr. said we
have good news and we have bad news. First the good, your gland ah yes!
the pituitary gland is fine. No obvious trouble. But now the bad. You
have a menengioma. They usually are not malignant.

So. I went off and found a brain surgeon. She saw my films and said she
would recommend a Gamma Knife procedure. So, May 7 I went to Davenport Iowa
to Gentry cancer center and had the Treatment. No knife involved just
radiation of tumor. Took all day but I certainly recommend it if you can do
so.

Of course, I was getting bored and had to go off and do something strange.
I was on a wait list to see my Dr. He had a cancelation so he called and
said if I could get there in 45 minutes, he had had a cancellation. So, I
got up and dressed and took all my morning meds and walked off into
oblivion. Actually I do not remember anything after taking my meds but I
drove 30 minutes and got to doctors office and I guess I gave the student
doctor quite a time. She got so overwhelmed she called for help from my Dr.
I had tests, brain scans. the works. However, I remember nothing of the
day. I finally remember arguing with my nurse cause I was hungry! Sounds
like me!

I have tried and tried to remember what happened to me and I can't. My
doctor tells me he sent me in restroom with urine cup and came out with
faucet or toilet water! He said I wanted to sleep but they kept me awake.
He said I told him I thought I was having a stroke.
I sort of remember if he mentions something I did. Some of it I can't even
cheat and sort of remember.

I guess I've gone way too long. I'd like to hear if any one else has had a
similar thing happen.
