All,
My name is Doug and I am almost embarrassed to write because I realize there
are so many people that have this worse off than I do.
I did want to write for those who have never tried SERC. I have been
diagnosed and suffering with this for over 2 years. I finally had a doctor
prescribe SERC which I have filled at Wallgreens.
I am taking 75mg of diuretic once a day and 16mg of SERC three times per
day. It has now been over 60 days since I have had an attack. I am praying
that this limits the amount of attacks.
I hope this may help to anyone who has not tried this treatment. I can't
understand why none of my ENT's have ever recommended this before. I
sincerely wish you all well that suffer from this.
God be with you all!
Thanks!
Doug

HI co- dizzy members,
Just to give a bit of history about myself. I'm finally seeing doctor
that deals with this disease. Though we are still trying to figure
what to do with it and how to treat me. I had an ENG testing done in
Dec. of '08. The test showed that my right ear was effected. But
it's the left ear that I lost the hearing in and so now he believes
that about ears maybe effected. I had to go out of town for the ENG
and he now wants to send me to London,Ont to a dizzy clinic. At the
moment, while waiting for the appt. that will be months away, I have
on the average, two dizzy spells a week. Taking serc and low salt
diet. Any suggests on how to deal with it. the doctor had hope to
kill off the balance in the left ear but now he wants to wait until I
go to the London clinic. Has anyone been there?
thanks -A
