Re: [Meniere's Disease Club] And now, the diet!

Dan, Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am not
about to give up the fight. Yes, I have Meniere's in
both ears (bilateral). I am trying the low sodium
diet, for about 2 weeks now. When I'm not flat of my
back suffering from an attack, I force myself to
continue to live a good life. I have a wonderful
family, who help and encouragement to go on. You see,
avoiding alcohol and caffeine were no great problems,
but avoiding the salt has been difficult. I live on
the MS Gulf Coast and spices, not herbs, are used to
season everything. A miss the tast of wonderful food.
I am an excellent cook and I love to cook, but now it
is a little more difficult to prepare a meal for my
family and not be aboe to enjoy the food. But,
because I want be "normal" (HA! HA! HA!), I will give
this a try. Oh yea, I've had symptoms of the disease
since I was a child. I would always get sick and have
fainting spells, but no one knew why. The symptoms
abated when I was about age 14 and returned when I was
age 23. I am 40 now.
