Dear Monique,
What you describe sounds like Meniere's disease. It has been my
experience the symptoms do not go away. My ears make noise constantly.
Hearing in the right ear is almost nil. The noise in my left ear started
apx. 6 months ago. The two ear game is a
real pain. It is good you have noise in only one ear. With practice it
is possible to know
when a dizzy attack is coming. After my left ear joined the right I had
several of what the
medicos call " Drop Attack " . With any luck you won't have this
problem. I went 35
years with Meniere's without any falling down. When I am not dizzy I
don't experience
vertigo. When I am dizzy I can't function. Over time I got a reasonable
amount of
control over the dizzy part. I am hoping I can do the same thing with
the left ear.
I write to a very nice lady in Chicago, she has had this mess in both
ears -- started at age nine. I know she won't mind me giving you her
address. It is
sibraghini@... .
This lady has lots of strength, she helped me when my left ear went
south.

I hope you don't have Meniere's , I have heard that inner ear infections
can cause the
same symptoms. If it does stay with you work on mastering the dizzy
part. It is doable.
I wish you the best of luck. Dan T. , danmt@...
