Dear Friend of Jean,

As some of you know, Jean (Janhavi) has been sick since last September.  She's gone to quite a few doctors and tried various healing modalities, but nothing was really helping.  Recently she found an ear, nose & throat doctor who diagnosed her with nasal pharyngeal carcinoma, cancer of the nasal pharynx (where your nose and throat connect).  After persistent calls to the hospital, she got an appointment to begin treatment this Wednesday, which could include surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy.  In the meantime, she's having frequent severe headaches and TMJ that has caused her to lose about 30 pounds.  A few people have been taking her soup, cooking her salmon, sending her protein supplements, etc and she thinks she may have gained a bit of weight back.

Jean hasn't worked since December and doesn't have insurance, but she expects to get onto Medi-Cal and receive her treatments at Highland General Hospital in Oakland.  She could use any support that you can provide, because she's never been in a situation like this before and could use any and all help from family and friends.  She would love to hear from you.  You can email her at jeanniegonzalez@....

Your prayers, healing thoughts and visualizations are invaluable.  I've been taking time each morning to send healing energy to Jean and visualize her completely healthy, surrounded by white healing light, asking God to help the disease leave her body and leave her happy, healthy and whole.  Please do whatever works for you to send positive and healing thoughts her way.

Jean is both scared and excited to begin her treatments this week -- the waiting around has been frustrating -- and looking forward to a bright and cancer-free future.
