Do you know a special nurse?
Patient Safety Awareness Week was an idea that was brought about by listening to medical professionals throughout the country talk about what they are doing to "protect" the patient from medical error. After listening to healthcare providers tell other healthcare providers that there is a problem in this country which needed attention, we realize it is not the healthcare providers who needed to hear this, it is the consumer.
Attached is a flyer to nominate a nurse on Long Island who has done something to impact patient safety. If you know a nurse, feel free to nominate him or her or just forward this so they too can nominate someone they know or work with. Please print this and bring it to your office or just forward this e-mail amongst your list. Somewhere on Long Island there is a nurse worthy of this special prize!
