Founded on September 28, 2005, the McHenry County Autism Group was formed to address the growing need for resource development and support for the families of children with autism, and adults with autism in McHenry County, IL. As time went on, we grew beyond our borders and have since developed into the Northern Illinois Center for Autism (NICA).
*We serve people with Autism/Aspergers and related disorders of all ages and abilities. We also assist families, professionals, and anyone who has a vested interested in autism.
We welcome all members to post questions, and request assistance. Feel free to share your opinions, suggestions, and information/resources to help in guiding others. Please remember to do so in a polite and respectful manner.
Note: All statements listed on this post are to be considered as information only, and not professional or medical advice. Please seek a professional if this type of assistance is needed.
