THE RAINBOW ATLANTEAN SCHOOL

A vision about future education

I believe nobody would disagree with me if I was to say that education is the root of society. Therefore, the quality and methods of education offered in each society determine, up to a large degree, the level of conciousness of people that live in it and vice versa. Education in the western societies leads to a single faceted development of human beings, blocking them from higher truths, teaching that the material world is the only one “real” along with the discouragement of their dreams and their intuitive abilities. No wonder that in our society most people heavily rely on their intellectual capacity, neglecting that there are mutli-dimensional beings, that besides a mind, they have also a body and a spirit, and all those are interconnected and parts of their existence.

 

The science of yoga speaks of the seven major chakras (sanskrit for wheel), seven major energy centers that exist on our etheric bodies along the central channel of energy, called the sushumna. But the science of chakras is not just a merely philosophical yogic science. The place of each chakra on the human body and its vibration gives meaning to its function and the qualities it represents in each being. Together, they are a stairway. They are a stepping ladder from matter to spirit. Developing them, one by one means the unfolding of inborn human possibilities, their multi-faceted development and eventually enlightement, the completions of one’s journey as a spiritual being on the human journey.

 

That is why I would feel that a way of education, that is based on the science of chakras, would result to the creation of homo universalis, people developed from every aspect, free from ignorance, creative, calm and powerful. It would literally give birth to a completely new society on Gaia.

 

Instead of classes, there would be seven basic levels in this education that I would call “The Rainbow Atlantean School”. In each level, one of the major chakras would be its very theme, starting from the root chakra and all the way up to the thousand-petalled lotus of the crown. People from all areas of spirituality, science, art and healing would become teachers in this system of education. Offering not just raw knowledge, but rather the ability to the student to reach for gnosis itself through his/hers own direct experience. I don’t believe there should be a time limit or a grading system; the student would remain to this level until his/her conciousness expands to the level of the next chakra, thus moving to the next level of the rainbow from matter to spirit.

 

To support my opinion, and how this system would work, I offer a simple layout of what could be taught in each level, in accordance again with the ancient yogic teachings about the profound system of conciousness expansion through chakra development:

 

LEVEL 1 – Muladhara (Root Support)

This level is the first one among seven. Its aim is to develop the body and connection with the Earth and vital energy. The student is taught the concepts of vital energy, and how everything is composed to it. He/She finds the primordal trust in the Earth and existential security, releasing traumas from birth and past lives. The development of solid connection with mother Earth and the Universe, stability and power of success in life is what one shoud develop through this level. The student is taught the foundation of magical work earth, that prepares for the next level.

 

LEVEL 2 – Svadhisthana (One’s own place)

The game of duality is the theme of this level. The student is taught about duality, how to experience and enjoy it. Following the flow of energy, and observing how polarities in the world merge to become One are the areas of experimentation of the student. He/She comes to know about sensuality and sexuality, learns how to give birth to his first artistic creations and experiences the awe of how matter and spirit may coexist. The student is taught the basics of magical work concerning the element water.

 

LEVEL 3 – Manipura (Lustrous gem)

 Here the student shall find his inner power and develop his/her personality. One learns how to set goals, how to utilize his/her inner power to manifest the world around him/her responsibly. Power and abundance are what this level infuses to this student, all with the mature responsibility and the parallel teaching of karmic laws. The person starts to gain wisdom and unfold through its own experiences. The student is taught the basics of magical work concerning the element fire.

 

LEVEL 4 – Anahata (Unstruck, Unspoiled)

The level of love and community. Here, the student learns to develop the qualities of the heart, that are love, compassion, sharing, deep understanding, devotion, selflessness and balance. The basics of healing through universal energy are taught on this level; how to use one’s self as vessel for love and light. All students learn to connct in the spaciousness of love and put their own ego’s and needs aside to function as one unit, something that prepares and empowers them for the long spiritual journey ahead. The basics of working with the magical element air are taught here.

 

LEVEL 5 – Vishuddha (Purification)

The level of creativity, intergrating the messages from other dimensions into matter. The student learns how to creatively express himself/herself through a process of concious opening to his/her natural abilities. One learns to use his/her own voice as a magical instrument. He/She learns to be spontaneous, inspired and access the subtle layers of being. Working with the element ether as a magical experience is taugh here, as well.

 

LEVEL 6 – Ajna (Command)

Level of intuition and the endless world of light. One learns to recognize on this level. Intuition and the development of subtle senses and psychic powers is the adobes of experimentation of the student on this level, as he/she learns to merge polarities in a central focus. One opens to the highest mental abilities that is to reflect the spirit in matter and learns to access the higher truths .

 

LEVEL 7 – Saharsrara (Thousand – Fold)

This level is the last of seven levels of conciousness expansion. Here the student experiences perfection, knowledge of All that Is and expansion to a degree where/she becomes the Universal Self in its essence. The experience of Universal Conciousness brings about the desollution of the world of duality and freedom from its laws. The student is now a realized master, free from all destructions and ready to help others ignite their divine spark and achieve the same.

 

This summarizes my opinion on how an educational system based on the science of chakras would work, hoping to see a school like that somewhere in Cyprus or in the world in the very near future. Most would see it as rather delusional and imaginary, but I think all possibilities exist, and manifest only when we observe them. That’s the basic idea behind quantum physics, anyway.
