Sorry temp lost my mind, I also answered this
question about 2am so i think i was half a sleep. You can
NOT use low fat dressing. As far as the creamy I
really can't give a clear answer to that because some
people use it and it does not effect them from losing
weight but there have been some members in the club that
use it and all of sudden they stop losing. So just to
be on the safe side I always suggest not to use it.
But I will leave that up to you.<br><br>Sorry again

It's ok to use creamy dressing like ranch or blue
cheese, check the labels I think they have about 2 grams
carbs per serving....just don't use any of the
high-carb creamy ones. Also good are oil and vinegar or
italian types, but again check the label. DON'T use low
fat dressings, they're high in sugars. I lost 25 lbs
on this diet last year and have been using it on and
off since then to maintain my weight.

right now I am using a Creamy Cucumber dressing..
I love it.. I have only been on the diet like 4
days.. so I'm still new and haven't seen much wieght
loss, however if it is not low-fat and also not creamy,
can anyone give any suggestions? b/c most of the
dressings I normally use are creamy

hi fraw: You can use any salad dressing as long
as it is low fat. I also suggest that you stay clear
of creamy. I have not heard of the diet making you
lose muscle maybe some of the other members no the
answer to that question. But I have seen news shows
bring up that the diet if used for a long term can have
some effects on your body. Thats why i have said this
diet is not for long term use and also check with
doctor before trying. I hope that this answer your
questions<br><br>good luck.

hey guys.. in my 3rd day of the mayo diet..
feeling a little weak.. but I think it's just from the
sugar cravings. 2 things.. first what's the best type
of Salad dressing to use? , and also I've heard that
low carb diets actually make you lose muscle .. is
this true? <br>just wondering<br>thanks

Tropicana makes Not from Concentrate Grapefruit juice, you find it in the
refrigurated section next to the Not from COncentrate Orange juice.  Do NOT use
Grapefruit Juice Cocktail

Everyone wish me luck on Thanksgiving. I am
sticking to the diet because Fri and Sat are my 2 days
off. I plan on eating turkey, salad, and vegetables.
Then I will save a piece of the pie for my day off. I
am only losing about 2-3 lbs a week now, but I guess
that is better than nothing. I have 15 more lbs to
lose. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving.

Sorry for confusion what i am saying is not
direct at you only. What i notice from SOME of the post
is that people are adding thing to the diet or not
using certin things on the diet and then post here that
they can not understand why they are not losing. If
you want to post that you tried it and it didn't work
or work that is fine i am just saying please don't
post that you do not understand why it is not working.
Without letting everyone no that you change

information..If I am not losing wieght from it and I follow the

hi step: You can NOT have any sour cream. There a
list of cheeses that you can have. If you check past
messages a member of the club post the site where you can
find the list. The only thing i have to say about the
gfj is that i notice that the people who follow the
diet to the letter lose but the ones who try to add
diffrent things have a harder time. but like i said in the
other post if you want to try it by all means do it.
The only thing i ask is do not post later on that you
do not understand why you are not losing. I may be
wrong it might work well for you. but i suggest to all
to stick with unsweeten or fresh gf.

Hello, dear Stephanie,<br>I found a home page
about Carbohydrates, and it was very interesting. It
has also some info about Lactose. Lactose is the
sugar found in milk. I think the sour cream or other
dairies, include this carb and that is why we can not
drink milk but skim. And even maybe the reason of
prohibiting creamy dressing is the same. <br>Also in that
homepage, I found that liver includes glycogen which are
called animal starch. They also made up of long chains
of<br>glucose units. Our bodies convert glucose into glycogen
in the liver and muscles,and glycogen can change
back into glucose when needed. Therefore, I think
liver is not allowed on this diet, as well.<br><br>The

HI, just a few comments and a question. On the
subject of grapefruit juice. I did some research, most if
not all grapefruit juices are made from concentrate,
as is orange juice. The only way to get totally
fresh juice is to squeeze it yourself as you would have
to do orange juice. Vitamins or calcium added to the
juice does not in anyway add calories,change the
structure, add sugars,fats or anything. It also does not
change the flavor. If it appears more palatable it is
probably the brand that tastes better not the added
calcium. Also once you become accustomed to drinking it,
it seems to be sweet, which is because your system
is craving sweets and grapefruit juice is the only
sweet your giving it. Now to my question!! Can we have
sour cream? It is about 99% fat but also dairy. What's
the scoop on that? Thanks. Stephanie

Please only use grapefruit juice that is
unsweeten. If you can not find this kind of gfj then use
fresh grapefruit. If you want to experment with a
diffrent types of gf juice go ahead but do not post later
on that you are not losing. The diet works best when
you follow it exactly as it is written.

Well, jplks..I tried another 12 dats and only
lost 5lbs..3 of which I put right back on over my two
days off! So, I am abandoning this diet for good. All
the meat and fresg vegetables is just too expensive
for only a 5 lb lose. I am not giving up on weight
loss though..I'm just going to give Richard Simmons
Food Mover diet a try. I purchased it a couple years
ago and it works if I stick to it. I hope you all
don;t mind if I continue to come here for supprt..it
really has helped a lot.<br>Wish me better luck.

I backslid a little this week. Now today is
Sunday and I am getting back on track again. I got on
the scale and I have gone back up to 240 lbs. The
good thing about it is that I haven't gone back up to
247.5!! I know that I will cheat a little on turkey day.
So I plan to stick to my program faithfully until
Thursday. That will be my reward day....

sorry lady i can't tell you how to stop losing
the bust but i can tell that you are losing inches.
This happens sometimes. Soon you will you will notice
the change on the scale. I know it must feel good to

i know that they all have sugar and they all have
carbs but the diet calls for you to use unsweeten gf
Juice. Try to stick to the diet exactly because most

I have been on the diet for 9 days now and feel good. I have had this weight on
me for twenty years. I have lost 5 lbs. I don't feel hungry and feel great
without the sugar.
