I went to the store and read the contents of every mayonnaise in the store and
everyone of them says it has sugar in it.

Mayonnaise is Ok but salad dressing (like Miracle Whip) is not. The difference
is the sugar -- mayonnaise has no sugar.

With everything going on in my life, I decided to
give up on the diet. But I have to tell you what's
happened the last week. I've still been eating bacon &
eggs for breakfast, and drinking the juice. For my
evening meal, I've been eating "sensibly" - but have
given in to bread or some other "no-no." I've also been
drinking lots of water. And believe it or not, I've lost a
couple more pounds!

I don't know if it's the
breakfast (because I never ate breakfast before) or the
water (I never used to drink water hardly at all) or
what. Maybe it's a combination of that and the fact
that I'm much more careful about what I eat. Whatever
it is, I hope it continues! LOL!

Well, I lost 5 lbs and 60 to go. I spent a considerable amount of time in the
bathroom. Well, that is ok, as long as the pounds are going down the drain.
LOL. Well have a good week everyone.

Just decided to go on and try this diet again. I
have tried it in the past many years ago and seemed to
work for me. Would like to find a chatting/diet buddy
to share in this and have support for one another
through this as well. I hope to chat with many of you in
the near future. Also, what does everyone find to be
the best form of excercise for them? Best results
etc--and also what foods do you all find the most
satisfying? Good combinations?

Thanks and hope to chat
soon!

I don't know how many of you might have heard but
it seems coming soon there will be know more club
format. I got an e-mail from the club masters club and
they state that yahoo is changing all of the clubs
over to group format. Which i really don't care for to
much but the good news is that all of the pictures
links and members should be automaticly moved. I really
hope so I love my club and all the diffrent people i
have met here. as you can see we have been around
since 1999 with over 500 members I really hope the
change will go over good.

I don't have all the
details yet but as soon as i get more info i will post.

A tip for the folks out there. I do not care for
eggs, but I love deviled eggs, so I made a batch of the
up to eat for breakfast with my bacon and juice. See
we can have fun on this diet. I am excited about all
the weight I want to lose. I will not say how much I
weigh, but I want to lose 65 lbs. Wish me luck

I was supposed to start today, but will be
starting tomarrow. I decided if all my food for the week
was laid out, save for lunch, I could possibly do
better. So I will be cooking and pouring grapefruit juice
for the next 2 hours. If you get bored with chicken
adn green beans try this>>>
Shrimp and
Stirfried veggies
Cabbage, Carrots and
Sausage
Barbequed Spareribs and Ceasar Salad
Ceasar Salad and
Grilled chicken breast

See there are a lot of
things we can do, we just have to be creative.

Hi! The answer is that you may eat only 1/2 of a
grapefruit or no more than 4 ounces of unsweetened grape
fruit juice with each meal and of course that means
breakfast also. Nutra sweet or sweet and low are OK to
use.I have been on this diet for about two months now
and have lost 25 pounds. In fact I continue to lose
weight so quickly that in order to slow it down a little
I had to occasionally slightly cheat or I would be
too thin and look like Olive, the cartoon characters
Popeyes girlfriend. This diet definetely works if you do
it properly, and don't worry about occasional
cheating. Simply pick yourself up, don't get discouraged
and carry on. The longer you stay on the diet the
more and more you will discover that your hunger will
diminish more and more each day. I personally love this
diet, even though I sometimes miss my favorite
carbohydrates, but I wait patiently for my 2 days off the diet.
Even then I find that my appetite has decreased so
immensly that I eat a lot less than I thought I would eat
on my 2dod. Stick to it. The diet works. Don't get
discouraged and come read the e-mails from all of us for
support. Good Luck. Anetta

Cindy, I know exactly how you feel. Since 9-11, I
have "sort of" dieted - but kept cheating. I haven't
been drinking enough water either. I finally got so
disgusted with my lack of enthusiasm (or whatever) that I
decided to forget the whole thing. I've been checking in
here, though - just to see how everyone else is doing
and maybe see if anybody could motivate me again.
LOL!

Tonight I came here with the intention of telling y'all
I've given up. And then I read your message. Maybe
what I need is just a break. I don't know, I'm just
really discouraged right now.

Hi I just got started on the mayo diet 3 days
ago.
Im doing everything by the book, but I work
irregular hours, from 4am till 10am so by the time I get
home and eat breakfast it's almost lunch time and Im
starving in the meanwhile at work (I cant cook breakfast
and take it with me because it's to early I get up at
3am) so far I've been able to hold out but what do you
think I could do? I was also wondering if the
grapefruit was half the grapefruit or the entire fruit. I
know it says unsweetend but is nutrasweet okay, If
it's not no problem it will not touch these lips
ever.
I really hope you guys could help me out I've seen
some great advice posted by you, I hope you can come
through for me.
Thank you.
Audrey

Gosh I am glad to see your post! I wish you all
the luck!!!! Obviously you have had success on this
diet too. I don't know anything about LS's Walk Away
the Pounds, but the combination of the diet and
walking 3 miles a day is what had my weight coming off so
good. I am bound and determined to get back where I was
dieting and walking. I don't know why I am having such a
hard time getting disciplined again!
I hope you
keep posting and you just might be the push I need to
get back on track.
Good Luck to you!!
~~Cindy

OK......... I have been "half-assed" doing the
diet since 9-11 and I am getting MAD at myself! I have
gained back 5 of the 15 I had lost, and now have 30-35
lbs. to loose to be happy with myself. The reason I am
SO upset is because I have been basicly following
the diet, (with an occasional screw-up), drinking my
juice, not drinking enough water and I quit walking on
9-11 and haven't been able to get myself going again!!
It's just the little things that have caused me to not
loose anymore. THAT'S why I am so disappointed with
myself! I will admit that giving up the carbs has made me
feel worlds better even though I haven't lost
anything. BUT the whole purpose is to loose the
weight!!!
OK....... now that I've vented my frustrations on everyone,
how do we get back on track???? I was doing GREAT
until the events of Sept.11 and like everyone it has
been seemingly impossible to focus and get totally
committed again. I WANT TO LOOSE THIS WEIGHT and now with
the holidays coming, there will be a slow down period
I know until the first of the NEW YEAR. Deb in ne
and HellFireGirl help me out here. Are you guys
struggling like I am?
I know there are some newbies to
the club and I just want you to know that this diet
works! I lost 15 lbs. in 5 weeks which I was very happy
with and should have lost another 20 by now IF I had
stuck with it. That's why I am so mad at myself and
getting frustrated.
How can we get back where we
were??? Any suggestions???
Needs help ~~Cindy

Okay, I was looking in the window at work and
literally said out loud, "I am fat." I decided I need to do
something ASAP. I will be starting on Monday again. I am
waiting until then because I need to make it a gradual
thing for me. Like a smoker in the hospital. If you
have a cig for 8 days you can quit. If I can go all
day without a slice of bread and then t the end ofn
the day say "I havent had any carbs all day, I can do
MCD again" So here I go again. Wish me luck. I need
to lose 65 lbs. I am also doing Leslie Sansone's
Walk Away the Pounds. It is great. See you all on
Monday and good luck to all who are already doing it and
doing it well. NDS

Last night for dinner, I decided to make
steak...i don't know why...i had this craving for it and i
try to stay away from red meat...anyway i prepared a
round center steak with mushrooms and tomatoes cooked
in butter. I ate that and was still hungry so i
prepared another one! OMG! I can't believe I ate so much
and had my 1/2 grapefruit. maybe it's because i cut
back on the amount of meat i had for lunch...the
chicken breast i prepared for my salad was WAY WAY too
big so I only had 1/2 of it. Anyway, I feel like a
piggie now...or maybe it's just me PMS'ing.

Oh
well...just thought I would vent

Hello everyone, I'm new to this diet so I've got
a couple questions... can I have any fruits with
this diet? It seems like this diet is really working,
but is the weight lost mainly water or is it actually
fat? also during the 2 days off time if I eat a lot
will I gain weight back? Thanks!
