I am so very sorry for your loss. I was there when my daddy passed away--and I am so glad I was able to spend time and let him know how much I love him. I wish I had some magic words to comfort you, but I want you to know you have a lot of friends who hope your pain will be replaced by beautiful memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You have been so good to all of us in the Marfan community.

At about 10:30 am central time, my mother passed away. I have been hanging out in KY for the past 9 days, so I did get some time with her before going, and got to tell her that I loved her, while she still recognized me, and could understand what was going on. Diabetes got the better of her, taking toes, then after a while got her kidneys, leaving her on dialysis, which eventually got too painful to handle.

Due to a lack of ability to get her life insurance over the years, my dad and I are going to have to come up with a large chunk of money to get her shipped back to Cozad, NE. I will be returning to Michigan along agout the 10th or so of August.

Thanks to all for the prayers and thoughts.
