Hi Tom
I'm home two days after my Vasclips were "installed." The nurses commented that
the procedure is much faster this way and while my doctor is not "convinced" of
the benifit I am happy to not have any items cut out, burned etc. I can also
report no post op pain to speak of. I picked up the pain meds but never
considered using them. My Doctor is a bit of a traditionalist in that he used
the two cut procedure. The injection to numb the area was nothing. I did
experience some pain with cauterization. A shock to the gonads is NO fun.
Fortunatly with Vasclip there is very little of that needed. Today I'm feeling
a little "big" downstairs. Otherwise no problems. For the $400 extra I would
recommend it and suggest that insurance companies SHOULD cover this if they are
covering titanium clips and other traditional items in surgery.
I'll try to remember to report back in a month or so as this is when people who
have problems say they start to see issues. If I don't assume everything went
great.
