Congratulations Joel!!!!! I'm glad you found someone
willing to do it for you.
I just got mine done last week. I'm on day 8 of the
recovery. They're still a little tender, but it gets better
every day. The hard part is not being able to ejaculate for
10 days. Especially now that women find me irresistible!
It hurt quite a bit when he cut the first vas, but the
second one was painless. Just make sure you follow the
after-care instructions. There was a guy in the next room
yelling and moaning because he had to get his re-done.
I got mine at Planned Parenthood. Normally the price is
$500, but I got a discount for volunteering. Planned
Parenthood is in the business of minimizing unwanted kids,
so I had no hassles. In fact, everyone there was very
encouraging. I would recommend going to Planned Parenthood
for several reasons:
1. It's cheap
2. The doctors are experienced (mine estimated he'd done
about 2000 vasectomies, and he's only about 30 years old)
3. They won't give you any trouble for being young or
single or childfree (I'm all of the above)
4. They're non-profit and do so much good work for
reproductive freedom, so it's important to support them any
way we can
