Dear all,
Many thanks for the updates. Great to see the actions and plans that followed directly after the meeting.
You all have received last week the invitation to join the malaria competence platform, where we can continue learning from eachother. So far 9 people (see list below) actually subscribed to the platform (this message and the one below are still cc-ed to your private accounts).
May I advise those who havenot registered yet to do so asap, so we have one central place for our communcation? Let me know if you need any assistance.
Best wishes,
Marlou de Rouw

Dr. Sim and me has already briefed to PR and our partners about the RBM workshop regarding to the self assessment framework that we tested in Mombasa. We also explain about our plan that we developped during the workshop for this 2 and a half months period. Very surprising, many partners were impressed with this tool and they suggested us to translate so that they could try to introduce it to the areas where they currently implementing the activities. WHO in Cambodia also interested in the new initiative and promise to support for this activity.Since the time is running short from now to next meeting in Yaoude, Camerone(November ,17,2005) , we tried to follow what we planned in Mombasa by identifying few districts to pilot this tool by collaborating with our partner in Kratie province.I think that our friends now are also very busy with their activities in order to fulfill the promising plan for the Yaoude meeting, especially my hidden friend Petas. Hello Petas, your hear me?So far I haven't had received any email from Prince Bosco as he promised. I am very concern about him even I knew that he went to the hotel and he could eat and drink( we had dinner to gether at the last night in Nyali Hotel). Bosco hope you hear also.See you and hope to hear from all of you.Best regards,Chea Nguon----- Original Message -----From: dominique kondjiSent: Saturday, July 30, 2005 3:36 AMSubject: RE: [malariacompetence] Next stepHello dear colleagues, in Cameroon, we've briefed the Malaria control programme manager on the workshop's recommendations; a written report and an action plan has been submitted to him.Six health districts in two provinces are concerned and 24 communities are targeted. The manager seems very interested by the approach; a meeting with all partners is to be convened by the programme.Best regards to all of youNews from Dominique Kondji Kondji, BCH AFRICA Cameroon.

I have already briefed the NMCP Manager about everything we learn't in
Mombasa. Second step was to submit a written report. My third step
will be briefing all Uganda NMCP Technical staff about the new tool,
and then pilot it in three districts of Uganda. I would be glad to
know other people's experiences.
