Transporters and People Living with HIV want their dream to come true

Networks of transporters and People Living with HIV/AIDS from Burundi,
DR-Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania built their dream of an
AIDS Competent region and will strive to make it come true.

From December 18 to 20, they came together in Burundi for the first
learning event of the Great Lakes Initiative on AIDS (GLIA).

Participants of SALT visits discovered the strengths of communities in
Northern Thailand

From December 8 to 14, the Constellation organized a week of SALT
visits to discover the strengths of the people in Northern Thailand.

"Once we accept human equality we see the people of the community
through a humane lens," shared Dr. E. Mohamed Rafique, one of the
participants.

Board members gave strategic directions for the future of the
Constellation

On December 14, Board members of the Constellation met in Chiangmai.
They gave strategic directions to the Constellation and its
secretariat regarding several issues. For example, starting in 2008,
two committees will help the secretariat with membership and financial
issues.

Transporteurs et Personnes Vivants avec le VIH (PVV) veulent que leur
rêve se réalise

Les réseaux de transporteurs et de PVV du Burundi, RD-Congo, Kenya,
Rwanda, Ouganda et Tanzanie ont construit leur rêve d'une région
compétente face au SIDA et se mobiliseront pour qu'il se réalise.

Du 18 au 20 décembre, ils se sont réunis au Burundi pour le premier
atelier d'apprentissage de l'Initiative des Grands Lacs sur le SIDA
(GLIA).

Les participants des visites SALT ont découvert les forces des
communautés en Thaïlande du Nord

Du 8 au 14 décembre, la Constellation a organisé une semaine de
visites SALT afin de découvrir les forces des gens en Thaïlande du Nord.

« Une fois qu'on accepte qu'on est tous égaux, on voit les membres des
communautés avec un regard humaine, » explique Dr. E. Mohamed Rafique,
un participant.

Les membres du Conseil ont formulé des orientations stratégiques pour
le futur de la Constellation

Le 14 décembre, les membres du Conseil d'Administration se sont réunis
à Chiangmai. Ils ont formulé des orientations stratégiques pour la
Constellation et son secrétariat sur plusieurs questions. Par exemple,
début 2008 deux comités aideront le secrétariat sur des questions
d'adhérence des membres et des questions de gestion financière.
