Subject: Being In Touch

Dear Jean-Louis,

We arrived in Sierra Leone safely according to our travel schedule. Since our arrival in Sierra Leone, our team (Joseph, Wani and I) has being working very closely together. Everybody is enthusiastic about the process. All those we have already shared the initiative with are also very positive and enthusiastic about the whole process.

Our team is submitting a team report to government, WHO Office in Sierra Leone and our respective organizations today. Joseph has just collected the copies from me for distribution. Meanwhile, we have personally shared information gained from the workshop with focus on the RBM Competence process with our respective institutions and few of our partners. Joseph has already assessed his organization (World Vision SL) and one community they are working with in one of the districts. He has also trained part of his health team (field supervisors) as facilitators. Our next move is to share the initiative with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and partners in a bigger meeting as already agreed with the ministry officials. We have also agreed to share with all District Health Management Teams in the country in their next normal bimonthly meeting scheduled for first week in September 2005.

We are also maintaining link with our Gambian counterparts.

We will continue to update you and other members on our actions.

Best wishes

Ibrahim
