Hey Bob.
2 big neos, negative side facing the water, one on each side of the
container. I just leave them on there all the time, because I have a Berkey
3 gallon water filter set up. But if you just have any type of jug you just
put 2 magnets on, negative side to the water. Held on with tape or a rubber
band. I bought a small package of big rubber bands and use one of those.
Peter says, though, that flowing water will pick up the magnetism too. In
other words, if you tape mags to your water supply line, it will receive the
same charge that water sitting in a jug will. You can either put the mags
on the main water line, or just on the kitchen sink line if that's where you
get your drinking water from.
Peter says that if you put the positive side towards the water on a pipe,
this is best for the pipe, because it keeps mineral build up from inside the
pipe. But it is bad for a person to drink. Drinking water should be
negative.
But you can put the positive on the pipes to clean them, then put negatives
on a jug for drinking. :-) Me--I just stick with my Berkey. I somehow
feel better with the water always being exposed to the magnets, rather than
just running between them in a pipe. Hard for me to believe that little bit
of exposure is enough. Not that I disbelieve Peter, but it just makes me
feel better to have water sitting in the mag field. Personal choice.
Samala,
Renee
