n/s/n/s chaos theory. :-)

That's the main thing, find something that works for you.
But have you used any of the commercially available magnotherapy products.
The major manufacturers use bi-polar techniques.

Have a look at this video

http://revver.com/video/1189409/magnetic-fitness-demonstration/

It's a demonstration of the use of magnets to improve balance and
flexibility for sportspeople. The products used are from Nikken I think and
are
bi-polar. You will notice for the flexibility section they use rotating
magnets.
It's a bit rambling, but worth watching.

>>>>>>>I've read on the ormus group--and a few sites--that putting n/s/n/s
poles on
a blender to spin water makes good water. And yet in Peter's book and other
sites it says using only a negative pole is best. Somehow, again for me
only, this just makes more sense. If the north/negative side is more
healing--as I believe--then it would only make sense to use just the one
pole for making mag water, too.

If that was the case, the Antarctic would be much healthier than the
Arctic. Or is it vice versa. Doesn't seem to be..

You have found north pole is best for you, but bipolar has shown to work
well for millions who have bought the commercial products.

It might make more sense, but magnetic treatments are still not understood
and there is evidence to suggest that multipolar techniques are more
effective. For water, what is needed is a strong field and a turbulent flow.
If
you don't have a turbulent flow, you need to create a turbulent field for the
water to flow through, ie the 'chaos' of nsns
I use an nsn magnet on the water pipe as it enters the house and an nsn
coaster that I stand drinks on.

>>>>>What I'm curious about is why you would say one pole use would be
better for
a therapist to use, while bipolar is safer for a layman? What would be
unsafe for a layman to use as one pole?

I'm being polite to the magnet therapists. There are several schools that
will train and certify you as a magnetic therapist. They obviously believe
you need training and they advocate north pole techniques.
On the other hand, the bipolar manufacturers say just put their wristband,
etc on and that's all it needs.

>>>>>It seems to me that nowhere does any site or book say that magnets are
unsafe to use. Simply that using the wrong side can make the pain increase,
which can be easily reversed by switching poles. Do you feel there's
something else going on?

If you look back through the archives here, you will see some posters saying
that S poles can cause cancer. I don't believe this is true, and there is
no evidence to support this.
You will also see that many sites say don't use magnets on open wounds or in
pregnancy.
But there are studies that indicate magnotherapy works well for both of
these.

We are just coming out of the 'old wives tales' era of magnotherapy, and
some of the 'tales' are wrong and some are true.
Find something that works for you and stick with it until it stops working.
Changes in body chemistry can reduce the efficacy of magnotherapy so you may
need to change your approach at some future date.

But if you want to be your own therapist I suggest using commercially
available products. You will pay more, but they will have been field-tested
by
thousands/millions of people.

Best wishes
John
