Hi Tcjc48,

I'm an old member. To answer your questions, if you place the North Negative
against a compass the North Side will point towards to North Negative side of
the magnet. Magnets should be placed in the proper position towards the body.
The Right Side of the Body is Positive and the Left is negative. The Negative
side of the magnet should be placed on the negative side on the body. Say you
have arthritis on your hands. You place the negative side on the back side of
the Right Wrist and on the Front Side of the left wrist. To see other placements
for magnets http://tomwflye.com/magnet.htm any other placement causes a short
circuit in the body. The link also explains the proper type magnets are best and
ways to improve your immune system and response of magnetic poles along with
power ratings by Magnetic Laboratory, Baltimore, MD September 1998. I have been
a member for a long time now and have been in magnetic therapy for over 20
years.

I do wish you well,

Tom Weber The Magnet Man
