Dear IABC Associates,
Recently the management at the Thraki Palace Hotel, Alexandroupolis,
Greece informed us that the IABC Symposium scheduled for September
19, 20, and 21, 2003 had to be CANCELLED!
We were told that because of the possibility that some IABC
associates could be carriers of SARS, that with reluctance this
cancellation was necessary. Their decision was based upon their
FEAR that a substantial number of attendees would probably be coming
from China where SARS (as believed by the management) remains a
significant problem.
The unwelcome news shocked those of us organizing the event, but
after giving the matter some thought, and after conferring with IABC
Vice President Professor Xin Yu-Ling (founder of the China Japan
Friendship Hospital in Beijing), we have done the following:
1. The IABC Symposium for 2004 has been authorized to be held in
China.
Professor Xin Yu-Ling and his 300 Chinese colleagues graciously
accepted the cancellation and have agreed our invitation to host the
2004 International Symposium of the IABC. At that time the focus
will be on EchT, (electrochemical therapy and it's application to a
wide variety of malignant tumors and to hemangioma. The date and
location are to be determined.
2. An IABC Workshop focusing on pTMS and BCEC will be offered in
Alexandroupolis,
Greece September 19, 20, and 21, 2003.
The workshop will feature presentations by Professor Anninos,
Professor Tsagas, and colleagues in which technical information on
pTMS (picoTesla Magnetic Stimulation) will be presented. In
addition, Professor George D O'Clock will offer a series of
presentations on BCEC, or Biologically Closed Electric Circuits.
Full information on the workshop is attached.
Apology
While the cancellation of our symposium was beyond our control, we
are sorry for the inconvenience this cancellation may have caused our
scheduled presenters and/or anyone who had planned to attend. We
hope that you will consider attending the workshop which will provide
vital basic information on the following:
1. Use of the SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device) as
a diagnostic instrument.
2. The application of pTMS to a wide range of neurological and other
disorders.
3. BCEC in theory and practice.
a) Electrochemical Therapy used against cancer.
b) Microcurrents reversing Age Related Macular Degeneration.
c) The relationship of pTMS therapy to BCEC.
Complete information on the workshop program is in the attachment.
If unable to open it, please let me know and it can be sent to you by
other means.
Thank you for your consideration of this matter, and I hope to see
you in Alexandroupolis.
Cordially,
Carl F. Firley
IABC Vice President and Secretary General
