This yahoo group is open to lymphoma patients and their caregivers. It's purpose is to share knowledge with each other about vaccine and other related immuno-therapies with the ultimate goal of helping each other survive. Current membership of 152 includes 105 NHL patients who have participated in numerous vaccine clinical trials, including those sponsored by Genitope, Favrille and Biovest/Accentia (NCI) here in the United States. Our members have also participated in investigator-initiated studies conducted at Stanford University (Dr. Ron Levy using first generation hybridoma production method); University Medical Center in Freiburg, Germany (Dr. H. Veelken); and University of Navarra in Navarra, Spain (D. Maurizio Bendandi).
Our membership has been limited exclusively to NHL patients. The group was expanded to include 36 CLL (or Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma) patients who enrolled in the(2006)Genitope CLL/MyVax® trial halted in March 2008. Although we expect that veteran vaccine patients can provide a wealth of information to the newcomers, LymphomaVaccine Yahoo Group is not able to address your specific concerns or offer advice regarding medical treatment.
Our group is both private and restricted. Only members can read our messages and files. A short cancer biography is required from all members which is designed to facilitate conversations.
