Re: [LowCarb Lounge] Checking in - I'm still alive!

Hey, whatever it takes to motivate you IS exciting! I wish I could bottle the
way I felt when I was determined to do something! My problem (sometimes) is I'm
impatient and want the weight to be gone NOW. So I'm all gung-ho for the 1st
week, dieting and exercising like a crazy person (6 days at the gym and walking
wherever I can and taking stairs instead of elevators...) then I get on the
scale and either it doesn't move OR I've a gained a pound or two! Plus my
joints are aching from doing too much too soon.

So I'm trying to approach it a bit more rationally this time. Gym 3 -4 times a
week and just saying NO to refined sugars. Which is really hard in this office
I work in! Someone brought in a 5 pound box of assorted chocolates! There's
always donuts, muffins and cake! No wonder we're all overweight here! So
whenever I'm tempted to eat something sweet I make myself drink a big glass of
water first, then IF I still want something sweet I will allow myself a small
bite. Most times the water really helps me to resist.

I'm trying to replace instead of just abstain.

JoAnn

Oh, just sick and tired of being fat! I was folding my pants from the laundry,
held them up and thought, "Good Lord these are big!" My arms were completely
spread apart!

I figured I needed to do something and I'm the type that needs fast loss. A
coworker told me about Kimkins and I joined -- not very exciting, huh? LOL!

Thanks for checking in! It's really inspiring to hear when others are losing! I'm also doing well on this new Kimkins diet. It's way easier than I ever...
