Del Monte Introduces new Carb Clever Fruits!

November 1 –– NEW PRODUCT:
Del Monte Foods announced sweet news for the millions of Americans who are
forgoing the tremendous health benefits of fruit while following a
low-carbohydrate diet. Del Monte Foods has developed the Del Monte Carb Clever
brand, a new
line of canned fruit that provides the same nutritional benefits of regular
canned fruit, but has 50 to 70 percent fewer carbs.



Scheduled to hit shelves in November, Del Monte Carb Clever will give
consumers a new way to enjoy the goodness and sweetness of fruit, while eating
smart.
Rather than packing the fruit in heavy syrup or natural fruit juices, Del
Monte Carb Clever is packed in water and sweetened with Splenda. The result is
great tasting, ready-to-eat fruit that's lower in carbs and calories, while
retaining a natural, sweet taste.

The complete line includes the following five products:
14.5 oz. sliced peaches
14.5 oz. fruit cocktail
14.5 oz. sliced pears
8.25 oz. pear chunks
8.25 oz. peach chunks
