Software, like the download from http://www.fitday.com make calorie counting
practical.
Having low carbs and high fat reduce appetite, so low calories are possible.
Atkins expects that one will be eating with low enough calories naturally.
I feel there is an advantage to measuring things, and adjusting portions
sizes.
