I am on a diet and exercise program that was given to me by a Bariatric
Physician. It is very similar to Atkins or South Beach. I can have
limited carbs. I thought about what you had said and I am losing two
pounds a week. As of today it is 8 pounds. I was really glad to
finally see results.
I eat basically the same thing every day. I eat a South Beach Diet
cereal bar for breakfast with coffee and fattening creamer (I am not
going to deny myself sanity :) then for lunch I eat a 12 carb wrap
with some kind of low fat cheese and a Boars Head deli meat. Dinner is
a green vegetable steamed or salad with some kind of meat, steak, pork,
ham or chicken. I snack occasionally on almonds, olives, natural beef
jerky or string cheese. I am not a fan of sweets so I never eat the
jello. I was told I could have the sugar and carb control yogurt at
any time but I really didn't like it.
As far as drinks, I am supposed to drink a lot of fluids as well but I
despise water. I drink Coke Zero, Lemon Propel, Coffee and Arizona
Iced Tea Diet Ginseng. The doctor said it is ok that the fluid is not
water.
Yesterday, I found many recipes that looked really good on Recipezaar.
They had a zucchini lasagna that sounded great.
