I was just informed that on the 17th of July 2007 at 11:11am GMT ( 7:11am in New York and 4:30 pm in India) people around the world will participate in a worldwide meditation for healing Mother Earth.

An excellent initiative! Many of us are so absorbed in our day to day agendas that we take our spectacular Mother Earth entirely for granted. So I invite you to join this meditation and fill your heart with love and gratitude for our ailing Mother Earth who has supported us every moment of our entire life, even though we have done little to acknowledge this.

Here is a synopsis about this worldwide meditation from the main website:

"...this earth is being harmed by us...This is the plan which will allow us to more fully connect to the earth grid and begin the healing of this planet... Together we will reset Mother Earth with a bio-electric "SURGE OF LOVE" from humanity. When we do sit in meditation simultaneously ...for one hour, we will unite the globe and connect all the regions of the earth simultaneously. In the process, we will unite...in love, peace, harmony and collective cooperation for a better world for our people, today and in the future...this  will accomplish two things. First, it will pulse healing energy into the center of the earth and regenerate the core, or the heart of the planet. ...
