Welcome to Living Our Dream, a support group for individuals interested in, planning to have, or already have had any type of weight loss surgery (WLS), or working toward a weight management goal. This includes but is not limited to Roux-En-Y (RNY), vertical banded gastroplasty (VBG), adjustable gastric band (AGB), duodenal switch (DS) and silastic ring vertical gastroplasty (SRVG). We have members from all areas of Oklahoma (OK). Our meetings take place on the 3rd Saturday of each month starting at 11 a.m. at the Norman Regional Hospital Education Center. What is the goal of this Support Group?
1. EDUCATES all pre/post/non surgical patients to the different aspects of the weight management journey (both positives and negatives).

2. ENABLES a patient, regardless of weight loss method chosen, to make the best decisions for his/her life through education and support.

3. ENCOURAGES the patient as he/she experience the emotional and physical peaks and valleys associated with weight management.

4. EMPOWERS the patient to grow into a more full and productive life through encouragement, support, and lifestyle changes.

5. EMPLOYS the experience of successful patients and subject matter experts to educate, support, and encourage others considering weight management objectives.
