What to look for in a Doctor/Treatment

Since I have just been diagnosed with HD
yesterday, my HMO automatically assigned a specialist to
treat me. Is there anyway for me to find out whether
this specialist is good/qualified/ok to use? I met
with this specialist and he seems to be down on
Stanford Hospital (so, natually I'm interested
now...)<br><br>I have been spending some time looking at various
treatments and wonder whether getting a second opinion would
be useful for HD?<br><br>thanks
