I agree we have a divine self within each of us and that spirit is not an entity anyhow, but I suggest  that there are many ways of praying and for those who wish to interface with the divine creative force there are opportunities rather than praying to yourself that the creative force can be related to and has a potential personality.  So I don't feel that your prayer is prthe best or only way to pray.
