Group,
I have had a J-Pouch for over 1 year
now and I have had many obstructions. Usually they
are just a lot of bubbling feelings where my
Stoma
was connected and there is some pain. I have gotten
used to that.
Recently I have had 2 full blockages
where I end up vomiting the food that is blocked in my
stomach. I have been told by my Dr. that I may have small
ileum opening and
some scar tissue left over from
the surgery that could be causing these
problems.
All he can suggest is that we remove the scar tissue
and hope it helps.
Recently my mother (I am 22)
has been telling me that The Cleveland Clinic
specializes in J-Pouches and may have some other options to
make things easier for me, in terms of making my ileum
passage larger.
Is there anything I can do to resolve
this?? My last blockage (last night) was from
accidentally eating a part of an onion from some French Onion
Soup (which I have never had a problem with).
I am
taking Cipro and Flagyl as it seems to be firming up my
stool.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you very
much.

Jeff
