Ladies & Gentleman: If you are sick & tired of your school system not providing evidence based education to your loved one with autism, please read on!

I have attached a website to electronically submit a complaint against the WV Board of Education. It's time that WV stepped up for our loved ones with autism. Specifically, we should complain that our child is not receiving evidence based curriculum for children with autism--ABA THERAPY!! It is my dream to bring ABA therapy to every school system in WV.

Due Process does not work in this state! WV Advocates are limited to the help they can provide. This is a great way to get the Office for Civil Rights' attention. If we bombard them with complaints, they must investigate!!

As President of the Charleston Chapter of ASWV, I get phone calls continuously about school systems in various counties across our state. I'm tired of having no resources to give these families. I heard one story that a boy brings home the same 2 papers everyday & is allowed to wonder aimlessly around the room while holding an Elmo Doll in their "self-contained classroom". Another little girl is teased at school, the teacher told mom she thought the little girl has autism, but mom was then told the girl was too young to be tested!! Mom has asked for testing for 2 years now, & her schools' principal has been no help. They are refusing to provide an Aide for her even though the teacher & the teacher's aide both stated that one or the other is always help her.

Please help make changes in our state for your loved one with autism!
Thank you,G

Ginger McAllister
