All,
First off - PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!! We have made tremendous strides with the Autism Insurance Bill at the capitol, and we now need some serious support to reach out to our Delegates and Senators. Forward it to other's email addresses, post it to news groups, send it to distribution lists - anywhere and everywhere that will bring the most awareness to our issue across the entire state and gain the most support possible to get this bill passed this session!!!
I have finally found a way to get updates to you all much faster and much more efficient than from my personal email address here on Netzero. I have now started a blog webpage that will contain the latest daily information on our Autism Insurance Bill, which thanks for Delegate Kominar will now be named "Cameron's Law" after my son, and other legislative matters we will be pursuing.
Here is the weblink to my blog: http://fightingautisminwv.blogspot.com/
We have had some MAJOR positive movement with Cameron's Law this week, and there is a possibility that this bill could hit the Banking & Insurance (B&I) committee's agenda as early as Wednesday of this coming week (2/6/08)... I won't officially know if it will happen this Wednesday until I speak with Delegate Kominar on Monday. As soon as I get the word from him, it will be posted onto my blog immediately!!! So check in often on Monday to see what the status of this is...
Also, we are going to be receiving some major media coverage for this bill as well (radio, newspapers, and TV stations) on the week that Cameron's Law is discussed within the B&I committee. Which means with media coverage, we need to have a large crowd come to the capitol in support of this bill. We are still working on the details, and will continue to do so throughout the weekend - so please check in periodically over the weekend to see where we are and what we ALL need to do to support this bill.
I will put as much information as possible on this blog so everyone will know the details of what is happening, what needs done, when it's going to happen, when/where our rally will be, etc..., etc.., etc... So for those of you that need to plan ahead to be at the capitol on this coming Wednesday, I would go ahead and start planning now that it will be this Wednesday. If it's not until the following week, that gives us all more time to prepare and plan to attend.
I'm going to update the blog tomorrow with more information and will end this email now, plus I practically haven't slept for a few days so a good night's sleep will do me well... If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me...
THANKS!!!
Jamie
