Hi! I am Vanessa and I have two boys. The eldest, who is almost three
has Autism, and hyperlexia. I noticed things about 15 months. his
words were no longer being used, no more eye contact, no response to
name etc... Our pediatrician told me to calm down and I decided to go
for Speech therapy on our own. I then called the county for Autism
help (and later fired them...another story) I got trained in
Floortime, and recently found a social group and some home therapist's
that work on a sliding scale. We did food allergy testing and removed
wheat for the most part and use rice milk. We also tried Cranial
Sacral therapy as Geronimo was an emergency c section and therefore
didn't get necessary head squeezing at birth- I think this contributed
to some sensory issues... Basically the therapist (who is a well known
healer in these parts)would come over once G fell asleep and do the
therapy. Sort of like a head massage. They feel the pulses and gently
readjust areas to ensure better neuro pathways or something. We really
did notice a lot of sensory issues improving, especially eating. I can
explain more in email if you wish. Oh yes... we also do fish oil.
