I actually don't have a clue why there is a higher % of kids born
with clefts in the UK than the US (or even if there actually is) but
it could be something to do with the fact that it can be inherited
and so it can run for a long time in some families.
Also it could be that it's not a higher % it's just that the cleft
kids are spread out more in the US because it's so HUGE! And that
there are the same number!
I dunno, i making this up but if anyone does know then i'd be
interested to know why!
