Hiya, I know what you mean, I was bullied a lot when I was in school
too, but I never really let it get to me. I've always took a 'its
their problem not mine' take on things like that.
Before my operation I saw a psycologist too, was just a necessarry
thing I had to go through, to say 'how I felt about it all' and I
talked a lot about being selfconcious and so on.
The last surgery I had before this was when I was ten, which was a
complete re-do of my lip and pallet, but as I got older it was my
nose which was causing the most grief to me. So when I was about 13
I was informed that once my face had stopped growing, I would have
the choice to have any cosmetic surgery I wanted to my face. And
now, I'm 18 and was finally given the oportunity, and so have had a
nose job and my lip re-alined (which i'm guessing is similar to what
you had) I'm still quite swolen now, but I can already see a huge
improvement to my lip though, your right, you don't realise just how
uneven it's been untill you see what can be done!
I had braces too from 1997 through 2002, then I made the silly
mistake to have them removed because after so many years I was just
fed up. Now my teeth are still quite uneven near where the ridge in
my pallet is, but, I've been referred to my local dental hospital,
and I'm going to be getting some dental surgery to correct that.
(wuhu!)
I've babbled a lot now too, so I'll shut up, hehe, thanks for
sharing emma :)
