I'm assuming from the activity on the message board that perhaps you
guys may not be having those huge weight loses anymore because no one
is posting. Well if that's not the case for you that's been the case
for me! I have plateaued or should I say I continue to lose then
gain, then lose the same 3-5 lbs each week. At first it was starting
to get me bummed out (not enough to quit) but when I went in today
and spoke with Alicia she pointed something out to me and that's the
inches and fat loss. So in order to get the board back up and going I
wanted to post my updated stats from start to where I was last time I
posted my stats which was June 1st, 2007. Here they are:

I started this program with Dr. Croland on 3/8/07 at 196.2 and I
weighted in today, now 4 months later at 179.8! That's 16.4 lbs which
is 2.2 lbs more than I weighed last month on the 1st of June! (See
message: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/learn2lose/message/28)

The reason I'm not freaked out is because of what my body is doing.
I'm in a size 10! Before I was squeezing into a size 10. Now it fits.
No problem. I am tighter and toned so I'm certain that the shift in
weight and absence of weight loss is me putting on muscle.

Again her are my stats...

             3/8/07 6/1/07 7/18/07 total lost
Weight 196.2 177.6 179.8 -16.4 lbs
BMI 30.7% 27.8% 28.2 -2.5%
Body Fat 41.1% 38.0% 36.7 -4.4%
Fat Mass 80.61% 67.41% 66.01 -14.6%

(Fat Mass is body fat so it's really like losing another 15 lbs!)

So even though my weight has stayed the same over the last 6 weeks I
have lost body fat, fat mass and inches. I decided to post this today
because I felt that someone (including me) might need the
inspiration.

We all love the big numbers but we did not put on 3-5 lbs a week so
it's not going to continue to come off 3-5 lbs a week. I'm in this
for the long haul and know (and see) all of the health benefits that
taking off this weight has done for me. If it takes me 6 months to
lose this last 25-30 lbs (my goal is 150 lbs) then so be it. I won't
be thrilled but I spent 15+ years of my life battling my weight.
What's 6 months?!?

Let's get this board back going. I wanna see some post DANG-IT!

The butt is staying yes - with squats. The boobs - they are staying but
only with a really good bra! At my biggest I was a 44DD I am now a 38 D
and so the girls have taken on a life of their own! LOL!!

I am SO in need of a breast lift that it's not even funny anymore. I
said that once I get to my goal that as a gift I'm going to give myself
a boob lift!

Anyway missing weight in today b/c I forgot I had a stupid update class
so I have to wait until Tuesday. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I am the QUEEN of bad weeks! The important thing is you realize it,
owned it and didn't make excuses for it. Try harder this week.Go in
and don't focus on what you may have gained ( I have went in and
gained several times or stayed the same). Focus on the next week
coming up. Talk it out with Dr. Croland. He's non-judgmental. He
listens and will give you a little advice if needed. It's only one
week right? You have this week to get back on track. Don't let that
hold you back! Good luck!

Glenda -

Don't feel bad! I gained 1.8 lbs! I was actually pretty excited b/c I
had a HORRIBLE eating week. Full of stress and drama so I ate poorly.
Luckily for me I continued to exercise and I think that saved me from
pushing the scale back over 180 lbs so needless to say, I was happy
to not have gained more. When I say I ate poorly - I really mean I
ate POORLY!

Anyways, I think it would be great if ANY of you ladies want to join
in! It's a commitment to help other women and a commitment to your
health! For me my ultimate goal is to be down to 145-150 before the
walk in October so walking all the time to gear up for the 40 mile
trek is doing wonders for my weight loss and I feel good about
focusing my efforts on doing something to help someone else. So even
if no one else wants to do it Glenda then why don't you???

Our team is named Bras with a Cause and you can go to our team page
at http://info.avonfoundation.org/site/TR?
pg=team&fr_id=1281&team_id=37200&JServSessionIdr010=5mqyymkt23.app28b.
The password to join is 5000 and each walker must raise $1,800.00.
It's that simple! It will be a wonderful way to celebrate the new
life you have by helping to give others a chance at life!

Tell me what you think! If not you guys can always donate to my
cause! I still need funds!

Hey Guys!

This fall I am walking in the Avon Walk For A Cure for Breast Cancer.
I only need to raise $1,800 to participate, but my goal is to raise
$5,000 and that's where you come in to the picture. I hope you will
be able to support me with a monetary donation (as well as keeping me
in your thoughts and prayers as I train and walk.)

Perhaps you can make a donation or may a pledge for the amount of lbs
you want to lose or for every lb you actually lose, knowing that
along the way that not only are you changing your life but that you
are helping to save someone else's life!

To make a donation you can go directly to www.sellinghomes4acure.com.
Once there, after you read my page, just click on the button
marked "Click here to support me" and you can make a credit card
donation. All donations are tax deductible and most importantly -
it's for a good cause.

Dr. Croland and his wife have been nice enough to donate to this
worthy cause. I am training each day walking 3-5 miles and within the
next few weeks I will begin to walk 4-7 miles. The weekend of the
walk I will walk in total almost 40 miles!

For me the reason I decided to walk was TRULY personal. You see many
of you don't know this but I had major spinal surgery done at the end
of October 2006 and as of today I'm glad to report that at a little
over 6 months post op I'm almost completely healed and doing well.
Having to have such a major surgery done at such a young age (36) was
an eye opener for me. It made me want to celebrate life and live my
life to the fullest. Since I now now that it is nothing short of a
miracle that I am able to still walk, I knew that the best way to
celebrate my new lease on life was to do something that would help
save and change lives! That's why I signed up for the Avon Breast
Cancer walk that's being held here in Charlotte, NC in October 2007.
Exactly one year from the day I had my surgery!

This will be my first walk, and I'm determined to walk the entire
marathon and a half over two days. If you stop and think for one
minute I'm sure you can come up with the name of one person who has
battled Breast Cancer because the staggering fact is every three
minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with this disease!
It's time to find a cure so please visit my page and make a donation.
Any amount would be great! You can always come back and make a second
or third donation if you hit the lotto or find a little more to give
so even if it's only $5 or $10 - just remember it's the thought that
counts!

Please do it now before you forget about it because it doesn't take
very long. It actually takes you less time than it takes to read the
morning paper, walk the dog, or have a cup of coffee. These are all
things someone who lost their battle to breast cancer can no longer
do. Help me out! I can deal with sore muscles and blisters on my
own but I need YOUR HELP to reach this goal.

Thanks for your time and thanks in advance for your donation!

Visit my walk page: www.sellinghomes4acure.com

Thank You, Thank You , & Thank You Again For Making A Difference!

Pam Lawhorne

Please if you can share this information with your friends and family
because I need as much help as I can get!
