I hope you don’t mind me giving the 10 Downing Street petition, one last plug.  We have till midnight tomorrow (23rd Nov) to input any final signatures to support our petition to our Prime Minister.

We are currently have over 12,700 signatures and if we could get to 13,000 by midnight tomorrow, that would be such a great achievement on the whole team’s part.  It’s been a lot of work and a lot of fun working with everyone on getting such positive results.

So if any of you know any British citizen wherever they live in the world, please do ask them to sign the petition http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/LowDNaltrexone/

Also, if you know of anyone without internet access that would like to support us, please send me their name, address and postcode and I can add them to Andrew’s domain (he’s the author of the petition), this will be accepted.

Thanks again and those who have signed online will receive the Prime Ministers response to our petition.  The petition itself will be handed in on the 1st December so we’re busy at the moment preparing documents to hand in.

And on this note, if anyone hasn’t filled in the www.ldnnowdatabase.com, please do so as this is part of the information that will be submitted.

Many thanks again for everyone’s support.

Best wishes,

Jayne

Hi Molly,

I rarely check this email. I will start checking it oagain more frequently. I was on Tarceva as well but unfortunately it didn'y help. I am currently off all chemo therapy and am trying a wholistic therapy as chemo was not very helpful. The doctor mentionned that I am very fortunate that my cancer is growing very slowly. I juice all the time, take chloryphill, and probiotics.
Any other recommendations?

Thanks.

-Rozie,

I have lung cancer, but I'm on Tarceva. I've not experienced the metal taste in my mouth, but for a while I had no taste buds. It was recommended to me to juice lots of veggies and fruit and sip it with a straw to keep nutrition in me. I tried that a few times but it made my bowels too active, kwim? It did help to juice my food though I still couldn't taste it.

Maybe that would help you?

Blessings,

Molly

Hi folks,

I hope you don’t mind me giving you a quick update on how we’re fairing up with the above.  As of to date we have 12,143 signatures!

This is largely down to the whole LDNNow team and what a great support network we have.  Everyone has their different ways/methods/talents of raising awareness and getting the word out there about our campaign.  The support we’ve received from the yahoo groups (who reside in/outside of the UK) who know many who live overseas who can sign and have passed the link on for them to do so is so very much appreciated.

We still have one week to go so if any of you know of anyone who can help with adding their name to our petition I would be grateful.  To get over 12,000 British citizens sign the petition to 10 Downing Street in 12 months I feel is a real achievement and stands us in very good ground to get the Govt to sit up and listen to the ‘first do no harm’ approach.  Having Dr Chris Steele MBE (UK Celebrity Dr) has helped our cause tremendously as what this has achieved is getting the interest of a lot of MPs, MSPs, MEPs and AMs to put the pressure on NICE (National Institute Clinical of Excellence) who are able to sanction the use of LDN on the NHS here in the UK – and the money go towards further research (they are an independent body of the Govt).

Because of the success of the number of signatures we have, we are now able to work with universities to do the research for us and this is in the pipeline.

We keep moving our goal posts and would now love to get to 12,500 so if any of you know a British Citizen (expat or living in the UK), please ask them to go to www.ldnnow.com and click on the petition link.

Thanks in advance and as a PS – the European Parliament has accepted our petition for LDN to be made available as front line treatment (it took them 5 months of meetings in order to achieve this) so as soon as the link is  available, I will be asking all Europeans to help support this important petition as this is more of a human rights issue, rather than anything else.

Best,

Hi Maryann,

Along with LDN and other measures, I believe 600 mg of ALA with breakfast and 600 mg with dinner would be a good idea as an approach to treating pancreatic cancer. No one really knows what a "proper" dosage would be, as it probably varies from case to case, and there have been no controlled studies establishing such a dosage. It is an alternative therapy--largely unproven and untested and based on anecdotal evidence.

You can get ALA without a prescription here:

If the ALA does not have an r-ala on it or swanson's R-Fraction ALA, this is the all natural stuff. Otherwise its half natural and half synthetic. Do web search to see what kind you think you would use. Some say it makes no difference but others say it does. Another choice.

If yes, can I get it in pharmacy without a prescription?
I want to help my father but there is none doctor who want to use it and I wonder if I can apply it by myself?

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone for their support with posting comments, giving thumbs up etc when given an opportunity to raise awareness about LDN.  This has now appeared in my local paper today and if anyone can support this by posting a comment with sharing your opinions/experiences with LDN, this would help a great deal.  If there’s enough comments, this article will remain on line for 2 weeks

Any help/support would be greatly appreciated – less than 2 weeks left!

Hello. I'm new to the group. My mother has metastatic breast ca to bones/liver.
Reading a lot on Bihari and Berkson, I'm wondering what people think about
necessity of alpha-lipoic acid with LDN. Infusions won't be possible for her,
what about supplements? My understanding is that Dr Bihari did not use either.

Today, I saw my oncologist, we had our usual natter and he told me that he is still surprised that I have got so far with no obvious signs of my inoperable lung cancer returning. He told me that the chemo and radiation I initially had was not intended to cure me, but rather, to relieve symptoms and get a bit more time.   I asked him if he thought the LDN was the reason I had done so well, and he said well it IS  being spoken about 'in high places', I then told him about LDNNow and how we were all working hard and how I had stood outside of Tesco's getting signatures for our petition, and about what everyone else was doing. We discussed Zagon and Berkson and others, he is becoming very interested, not like when I first approached him and gave him Mary's book.     So folks there are rumbles abroad, the word is getting out, especially with all of the press coverage we have managed to get so far!   No longer does my onco think LDN is a waste of time, he is quite amazed!!  Now I have a favour to ask you all, I have circulated mails recently as we still need signatures for the petitions, please, if you are suffering, or have someone who is suffering then I beg you not to go off line until you have signed.  Never mind where the petitions are, because  whatever happens here will ripple right across the pond and hopefully all over the world.  Can I ask you to take part in the big push!!! Let's get these petitions filled up and show the world this is what we the people, want!!!!!   To give your permission to have your name added to  both petitions go here -  http://www.bwmbagus.demon.co.uk/Resource/PETITIONPAPER.pdf  but remember the number 10 petition can only be signed by British subjects or ex pats, whilst the Scottish one can be signed by anyone anywere http://tinyurl.com/SPLDN  so please, I am imploring you, if you can sign one or both it would be wonderful, please help us to help you.......  LDN has helped me So very much!!!  Is it helping you?? If you can answer yes, then please sign one or both of these petitions..........Our thanks.......
Best wishes
Celia
