Hi-

I just joined the group. I have a 14+-year-old standard poodle
(Frasier) who has been fighting cancer for almost three years. He
developed hemangiosarcoma (HSA) in April 2005 and with surgery and
chemo beat the very grim prognosis for that cancer (3-6 months with
treatment). In April 2007, he developed a different cancer on his
liver (malignant fibrous histiocytoma). The first tumor was removed
but the cancer recurred after six months and is now inoperable and
unresponsive to chemo. I heard about LDN a couple of weeks ago and
decided to give it a try. Frasier has been on it for a 1 1/2 weeks
and, so far, I have not seen any change. I was just reading the posts
on this website and noticed posts from people who were using LDN or
planning to use it on their dogs.I would be very grateful if they
would update us on their experiences so far.

Wishing everyone the best,

Melissa Charron(Frasier, 14.67-year-old standard poodle, HSA, 152
weeks post splenectomy; MFH, 47 weeks post hepatic lobectomy)
