Dear group,
Somehow or other I missed the original message in this thread but am delighted
to have seen the response. You see, I have three keeshonds, my dear sweet kids.
Each gets gastroenteritis from time to time, two of which will develop
hemorrhagic gastroenteritis if I don't catch it quickly. One very nearly died
during an episode approximately a year ago. It was a terrible and frightening
ordeal.
By the way, two of the kids are related, one was rescued from the puppy mill
business in Missouri by two dear persons who posed as millers at an auction
meant for a puppy miller crowd. I don't know why in the world I never thought
of LDN as treatment for gastroenteritis. I make my own LDN and so have it
handy. I think I will start at 1mg for the kids and see how they do. I'll give
it a good long trial and if fine, I'll stay there. If not, I may go up to
1.5mg, as they weigh between 32 and 40 lbs - our goofy little boy being the
largest.
Thanks bunches to all.
Warm wishes,
Jan
