My name is Christina, and I read these posts sent to my e-mail everyday!!!! Some
sad, some great, and some trully B.S.!!!! I was banded in March of 2007. I have
lost a 135lbs. I was 297 and I am now 158 and have maintained it with a 5lb
fluctuation from week to week. The band is a miracle if you will let it be!!! It
requires that persons hard COMPLIANT work. The key is to abide by the rules and
be COMPLIANT. Do not ever take it for granted or underestimate it. It also
helps to use the "Window of Opportunity"! My youngest brother has also been
banded and with my direction has been successful as well. My now husbands family
has also had it (Mother, Father and Sister). IT takes WORK ON YOUR PART>>>>>>
but can be the best thing in the world. I have eating difficulties like
everyone. I do not allow myself to get frustrated and go hungry. I also keep
my band VERY TIGHT.. I have not had my band adjusted AT ALL since NOV of 2007.
My suggestion to those who are having difficulties is: Be HONEST with yourself
and truly look at your habits. I would bet they are not TRULY in compliance....
