Make sure and ask where your port is, you will want to put ice on it.

When you wake up and are able to stand and walk, you should get up and get moving, walking slowly.  It will help with the pain and help you get to feeling more like yourself.

Well, my surgery went so smoothly and quickly that after I was "good and awake", I put my clothes on and went home.  I got to the surgery center at 6:30 am...

I can't believe everyone forgot and I think that I am probably the oldest banded person here.  Once you are awake enough they will walk you to an xray machine...

My surgery was 2 years ago and they didn't do the barium swallow, nor did they tell me to put an ice pack on the port site.  The business about walking lots...

Sandy,   I remember drinking something chalky and it was in Nov. 2005.  I think we all get very nervous especially since a person doesn't know how they react...

Hi all. My surgery was 2 years ago as well. I did do the barium swallow and xray. I hope you're at Specialty Surgery Center of Ft. Worth. Manny the Xray Tech....

No, it's regular tylenol, it's just in liquid form. You'll find it with all the other pain relievers. The nightime is a golden liquid and the normal is red....
