Liz,
Don't feel like a failure. We have all had this surgery, because loosing weight has always been a struggle! We are all in the same boat, and I'm afraid I may be heading the same direction as you. I stretched my pouch and had the fluid taken out for two months. That was two months ago, and now I'm feeling like I may be stretched again. I actually called to get the Surgery Center's phone number from a friend 3 days ago, but haven't called to make the appointment. I'm so afraid they'll tell me I'm stretched again. Your post has made me decide I have to make that appointment NOW! I wish I had good news about the revision surgery for you, but I have no idea. However, I was compelled to post, because you are not a failure. You are human, like all of us, and made some mistakes. I've made them too. I was talking with that friend and we felt we really just need to start
over. Act like we just had the surgery and follow the rules. Sounds so simple, doesn't it? You've kept the 38 off though, and that's amazing! I lost 53 pounds, went on a ton of new medication, and gained 45 back. Look at the 38 as a victory. 38 pounds is awesome!!! You're awesome, and we'll all get this figured out, somehow!
Take Care and keep us updated!

Hi all. I rarely post - I'm more of a behind the scenes gal and I read everyone else's posts for support.
I may have to have a revision surgery to move my band and I was wondering if anyone out there has had this done and if it has been successful. I'm exactly one year post-op and I've lost 38 pounds and I've struggled with every one of those pounds. Apparently I abused my tool early on and now I'm having issues with chronic dialiation of the pouch. The pouch/stomach wall right above my band is so weak that even drinking liquid quickly causes it to balloon out. They keep having to remove the fluid from my band, put me on a liquid diet and then start over will small fills. At this point, it looks like a revision surgery is the next step and I actually have an appointment with the surgeon to discuss the pros-cons, etc. They have explained that it would require moving the band up a little bit -
actually placing it on top of the weak spot.
Here is my question for this group - has anyone out there had this done? Do you know someone who has? I want to talk to someone who can tell me their experience (obviously, I'd love for it to be a good experience) - I need major encouragement right now because I feel like such a failure with this band thing!
