Hi
I am new to the Ft.Worth group,
Using Dr. Adam Smith
Surgery date 6/16/08 Plaza Med. Center in Ft. Worth

I am strating my Pre Op diet,
I was told in the office, the pre op diet to shrink liver, is similar
to south beach- I'm thinking at this point, ok I will go buy the
frozen pre packaged meals. WRONG WRONG WRONG Thankfully I called the
office and Susie told me NO that is not what I need. From her
description it is closer to the old Atkins diet, and low fat meat,
fish, chicken, cheese. I did purchase a box of New Whey liquid
Protein from Dr. office 25 g so that will help ( great to flavor
water!)
I just returned from the store, loaded up on cans of tuna, chicken
breast, and the 98% fat free vienna sausages...basicly anything I
could find high in protein, low fat, no sugar, and low to none on
carbs.
Hope I am doing as I am upposed to be. I work in fast paced eat on
the run type enviroment, and NEW ...my Mom was taken to ER, so now
I'm staying evenings at the hospital, so not much to choose from but
the NO NO foods in vending machine... I know its just two weeks, so
not to worried about becoming burnt out, but I sure would appreciate
suggestions here.
Thanks all
