Oh! Meghan...How good to hear from you! I'm sorry you're having the same issue. I sometimes wonder if having gotten to the 45-50 pound loss and then just hanging there for so long if I've just lost my momentum. You know, the typical scenario we've had with regular dieting. I'm often eating between meals when not hungry. Some days I eat little or nothing and other days I seem to be able to eat a great deal. I've never started back on sodas (afraid to unleash the beast!), don't eat too much bread or fried foods, but I'm back on the sweets! I've thought about another fill, but is it really justified if I'm not eating correctly?I' m riding my recumbent bike 30 minutes a day, but I think I need to add lifting weights.
Dr Snow's group meets on Thursdays (I think) at La Madelaine in Grapevine. I've gotten bulk emails from Susan and she has been generous enough to say it was ok to come to their meetings. When or if I know about the next one I will let you know and let's try to meet there. I know I need the support as well as the information. I knew that this surgery was simply a tool, but I don't think I fully understood, maybe I didn't want to, I would need something more than I've gotten from my surgeon. He did great surgery, but the after care/follow through is crappy!
The last AIGB meeting that I knew about and went to was before Thanksgiving. They seemed more interested in us marketing "gift cards" for potential surgery candidates than anything else. All of the faces were new. If there's been a meeting since then, I didn't know about it. Maybe they decided it wasn't worth the time or the drive since there weren't many people there.
Let's stay in touch, ok?

Hi Sandy,
It's Meghan :~) Thank you so much for posting. I am in the exact
same boat. I lost 50 pounds and have done nothing but gain back the
last 3-4 months. I am currently wavering around a 40 pound loss.
I'm drinking soda again, which is a major cause, but I don't seem to
ever feel satisfied. Some days I feel uncomfortable after two bites,
and somedays I can eat an entire plat, including the bread. I've
questioned if my pouch has stretched, but just don't know what to
do. I guess I should be going in for another fill, but hate that
dissapointed feeling I get from everyone else knowing I've gained. I
agree that the support group meetings were very helpful, until I had
another engagment on Monday nights. I wish they were still going on,
because nothing is better than having someone there with you. I
think the most helpful thing would be recipes of things proven easy
to eat, and high protein. My problem is the high protein foods are
the hardest for me. (That's why my entire family loves your pot
roast recipe. I can't thank you enough for that!) Any ideas from
the moderators? Do we know what happened to the meetings? Should we
be going back for fills?
Thanks for posting Sandy!!!
