Greetings!
Simone Gabbay, a nutritional consultant living in Canada, has written a new book
called "Visionary Medicine: Real Hope for Total Healing." This book is extremely
interesting, comprehensive, well written, and well documented. It is a MUST read
for anyone considering alternative approaches to healing, particularly those
espoused by Edgar Cayce. For more information, visit

Hello All!
Thanks to your prayers and the grace of God, my sister Angie's right knee

Now, on Thursday of this week, May 8th, she is having her left knee replaced.
Your prayers on her behalf would once again be very much appreciated!

God bless you, Daylady2!
You are definitely not alone in your particular situation! I am a retired
chiropractor, massage therapist, and registered nurse who has been a deacon,
choir director, and sacred concert singer. Fetishes and addictions are no
respector of persons, and cut across all social, economic, educational,
religious, and racial barriers.
May God grant you the grace to overcome whatever afflictions might be upon
you--mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, etc.
With love in Christ,

Dear Punchbug,
Thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone or unusual with this
problem. Since making the decision to listen to God's 'still small
voice' I had the courage to step out of the downward spiral I was in.
I believe that God put people like you in the path of people like me
and others who need that 'secret' someone that will not hold their
problem against them.
Don't want to shock anyone out there but believe it or not I have
worked in a Private Christian for 10 years and am now completing
another 10 years as Office Manager in a large church on the east
coast. Sin is no respecter of persons and can cause the strongest to
stumble.
Thank you for your prayers and I'm so very blessed to have come to
this site.
Looking forward to more sharing and hearing from others.

Hi Daylady!
Thanks for sharing!
Your obsession is nothing to be ashamed of. Like the person addicted to alcohol,
that's the way God made you. You were born that way. It is a given. The question
is, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to nurse it, let it rule
your life, and make you do things you will later regret? Or are you going
to--with God's help--get the mastery over it? In regard to being punched in the
stomach, maybe a gentle punch would be alright. A hard punch could be really
dangerous, though. But where does one draw the line? Can an alcoholic take just
one small drink without going overboard completely? Of course not. A punch in
the stomach is what killed the great magician Harry Houdini, and Edgar Cayce
says it can cause siezure disorders like epilepsy.
In any case, every member of this group is addicted to some type of unusual urge
or desire. Some of us have been given the victory over such and others are still
struggling. The important thing is that we recognize the need for change and we
are working to implement that change as God enables us. Jesus was my "change
agent," and it was a supernatural touch from Him that delivered me from my
addiction to fantasy violence against women. Others have found success in coping
with addictions through Christ-centered 12 step programs like the one I
recommend in the Home Page of this group.
Although we may slip now and then, we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and
get back on that straight and narrow. So, keep trying and do not give up!
I want again to thank you for being brave enough to share your situation.
Hopefully, it will motivate others to do so as well, so that we can pray
intelligently for one another.
May God move mightly in the hearts, minds, and lives of those in this group,
causing them to be overcommers! And may God give every one of us the victory
over every weight, every care, and the sin which so easily besets!
With love in Christ,
Punchbug2_2000
Hello,
I'm not sure how to begin so here goes......
I am a woman, age 52 and have had a terrible addiction to getting a
good feeling from being pushed in the belly button area. I don't
exactly know how to explain it other than it did begin back when I
was about 13 and my cousin, who was a male, punched me in the
stomach. Where he hit me gave me a 'tingling good' feeling which
later in life I learned is part of the feeling you get with your mate
during intercourse.
Right now I'm sitting here shaking my head ashamed and almost crying
because I know I need help but don't know where to turn. Yes, I've
turned this over to the Lord many many times but just pick it up
again and continue giving excuses as to why I do it. Please forgive
me if I don't make much sense because I've never EVER confided in
ANYONE outside of talking with the Lord about this. My husband has no
idea even. There is too much to tell so for now I just ask prayer and
help from anyone that can direct me to what I should do next.
I have been a Christian since 1968 at the age of 18 and have had some
victory over this obsession but no actual release from it.
When searching for new and more groups to belong to I saw this group
and when I read the words 'born-again Christian'........the Holy
Spirit whispered in my ear that I need to give this a try.
Thank you for listening. I'm still too ashamed to even use my real
name.
Daylady
Hey everyone!
I'm a Christian teen and I just found this cool site for a TV show that's coming
fall 2003. It's about teens dealing with faith and their relationships with God.
It's called "Life In General" and I'm a huge fan from their website. I even
created a club about it at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/life_in_general
and then there's the main website at
http://www.lifengeneral.com
You all should check it out. I think it's a show with a message that this world
could use right now, especially to let everyone know about God.

Hi All!
Thanks to your prayers and the grace of God, my sister is doing very well and is
scheduled for release from the hospital in just a few days.
However, now it is I who am to undergo the knife. I am scheduled for surgery on

Hi All!
The surgery to replace my sister Angie's badly arthritic knee went successfully
and she is now recuperating. Apart from experiencing a great deal of pain and
not being able to sleep, she seems to be doing alright. She will spend the next
few days in the hospital and then be sent for two weeks to a rehabilitation
facility.
Please be so kind as to continue to pray for Angie that she might undergo a
complete and speedy recovery.
Thank you again so very much for remembering Angie in prayer!

Hey All!
Here's a little something for Christmas--the inspiring true account of how, as a
little girl, one woman learns about Santa Claus, the Christmas sprit, and, many
years later, is confronted with the reality of Jesus:
Sifting through my mental memory box, I find two images collected during my
gradual discovery that Santa Claus is merely a myth.
The first image involves finding the box in the attic that went with the Revlon
doll I'd received on Christmas morning when I was five. The doll had not been in
the box when I found her under the tree, and I realized she came from a store.
The following Christmas, I said to my mother, "I'm not sure I believe in Santa
Claus anymore."
"Don't say that, Emily!" she pleaded, holding me close on her lap. "Of course
there's a Santa Claus. He's the spirit of Christmas!" After that, Santa Claus
was no longer a jolly, magical man in a red suit trimmed in white. He was an
unseen spirit, like Jesus and God.
The other image is a vivid, treasured memory of what it was like to really and
truly believe in Santa Claus. My brother Steve and I were going to sleep
together in the same bed on Christmas Eve, so that we could share the excitement
of that special night. I suppose he was four and I was three. The air was thick
with magic. "I think I hear sleigh bells on the roof," Steve whispered. We were
not lying down, but kneeling at the bottom of the bed, leaning over the foot
board, straining to see out the door into the dimy lit hallway. We KNEW he was
coming.
I have waited many years to recapture the thrill of such a sure knowing about
the miraculous. I was a 40-year-old mother when I listened to the story of a
friend of mine who had been close to death in a hospital. As she lay in her bed,
immersed in a pool of pain, Jesus came to her, just as real as you or I. "He was
like pure love looking at me," she said. She left her body and He led her down a
path toward a river where people beckoned from the far bank. The colors were
more vibrant than those we see in our everyday lives. She told Jesus that she
couldn't go any further with Him--she had five children to care for. So He
brought her back, to her pain and gradual recovery.
Before that time, I had read stories in books and magazines, written by people
who had met Jesus, or an angel, or experienced a miracle of healing. But reading
stories written by strangers is not the same as hearing such a miraculous tale
from the lips of a trusted friend--an ordinary mother, just like me. Tears
welled up in my eyes. The Hallelujah Chorus crescendoed inside me. The air was
thick with magic. My friend had met Jesus. He had come to her when she needed
Him most. Now I knew that He would come to me, too.
I felt again like a small child on Christmas Eve. Back then, I knew that Santa
was coming. Now I knew that Jesus was coming. Jesus, who did come as a baby on
the first Christmas Eve, comes again to everyone who looks for Him. First, as a
blessing in our hearts and souls. Then, as a friend, to light our way in the
darkness when we are lost, or sick, or dying. When will I see Him? I don't know
when it will happen, but I know that it will. Whenever I think about it, the air
is thick with magic. He is coming!
Wishing you all a joyous Christmas season and a blessed New Year,

Dear Ones,
Thank you so very much for holding my sister Angie in prayer regarding her knee

If you would be so kind, do continue to uphold her in prayer until this whole
situation is resolved.
Thank you again for your kindness!

Dear Hearts,
Please be so kind as to pray for my sister, Angie, who is scheduled for knee
replacement surgery this Wednesday, December 11th. Because she is grossly

Thanks ever so much, and have a great day!

I have been addicted to pornography since I was a teenager and in
that time I found women's wrestling. I crave the violence that comes
from it. I don't care what they are wearing or not wearing. I want
to see violent beatings of women. I in no way desire to be involved
in it but to watch it brings a very erotic feeling on. I just found
this group in a moment of weakness and know I was led here for a
reason by God. I want nothing more than to be completely devoted to
Christ and work daily to study my bible but I have these moments
where I stumble like this. Please give me some advice on how to
control this craving.
