I believe that the struggle for many of us becomes that we realize
we shouldn't be fantasizing or participating in these things, but
cannot bare to give them up. But it is Satan's lies that make it
seem as though we "give them up." Please, brothers and sisters,
never forget that God created the physical world and said it was
good. Every desire we have, at least to some basic point to which we
can trace it, is natural and intended, but the sinful nature
perverts how we see to obtain our desires. Furthermore, Satan lies
by telling us that it is through him and sinful ways alone that we
can obtain these specific desires; he makes the desires seem bad so
that we do not realize that it is how we try to obatin them that is
wrong. But I tell you that it is by God that you will obtain
what you want. Not only does He know what you want and desire you to
be happy, but those desires are part of the design He made to lead
you to things that will make you happy.
What I am trying to say is this: When the problem is that you feel
as though you're going to give in because you just can't stand to
give up the pleasure, you've already been lied to and have probably
already lost. You will not give up the pleasure with God's way, but
you will rather find another way to it through Him (and He will
provide one, probably in a way that will blow your mind).
All pleasures will be granted by God because the desire for pleasure
was created by Him. The difference between His way to pleasure and
Satan's is that God's has no strings attached (no sin and death).
So always remember, if you wish to obtain the desires of your heart,
even sexual satisfaction, seek after God and avoid the quick way
through sin. In fact, God's way becomes very quick as soon as we
resolve not to sin. The very moment He sees our resolve not to sin
in an area, He entrusts us with the blessing in that area we were
separated from
by the curse of the fall. You will not give up pleasure by not
giving into these things, but merely take an alternate route to
pleasure. It will be one which God has made pure and holy and
comforting to our souls.
Sorry for the length; I'll stop rambling now.
In Christ, with love, be blessed my brothers and sisters.
