I have noticed if I don't work out 2-3 X a week I notice the hyperextension.
right now, because the injury happened 8 weeks ago, i am doing my exercises daily. when i was looking at my legs and saw my good leg (right) was firm and my injured leg was still pretty flaccid, i did my calf raises one leg at a time and discovered i wasn't using that leg! it was just going for the ride! so now on the total gym i have at home, i work my injured leg alone using the hand pulleys as a spotter in case i buckle (perish the thought) i am using 2lb ankle weights for my leg raises and hamstring exercises. i just fear after working out like an animal to get some better stability, i'm gonna need surgery and then start it all out again from scratch!
