I guess I only know what I went through. I do yoga too and post op could not get the range of motion I needed to do yoga moves. No way was I going to be defeated, so I used my son's five pound ankle weights and repeatedly tore the scar tissue twice a day for about 6 weeks (painful let me tell you) but I am about 98% healed. The only other issue I had was my injured leg hyperextended while standing. I have noticed if I don't work out 2-3 X a week I notice the hyperextension. So get those legs worthy of a shot in a magazine like you plan on and maybe you can get stronger that way.
btw I drove a stick shift pre-op after the tear with a brace - hurt like a ____.
Best of luck!
